Free STEAM Experience for Oklahoma Middle School Students
June 12, 2026 | OSU–Oklahoma City Campus
Get ready for a full day of hands-on science, creative exploration, and real-world discovery.
The Hough Science Day Camp is a free one-day STEAM camp for students ages 11–14 (6th–8th grade) designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce students to exciting science and technology careers in Oklahoma.
Hosted on the OSU–Oklahoma City campus, this immersive experience gives students access to college-level learning spaces and professional mentors — many for the first time.
What Students Will Experience
Campers rotate through six interactive learning labs:
• Anatomy & Physiology
• DNA Extraction & Molecular Science
• Engineering & Circuitry
• Forensic Science
• Sound Science & Hearing Exploration
• Creative Arts & Scientific Design
This is not a sit-and-listen camp.
Students experiment, build, test, create, and collaborate.
The arts are integrated throughout the day because innovation requires both imagination and analysis.
Who Can Attend?
This free STEAM camp is designed especially for students who may not otherwise have access to enrichment programs. By removing financial barriers, we ensure every student can focus on learning — not cost.
Camp is open to:
• Students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
• Ages 11–14
• Families seeking high-quality, no-cost STEM and STEAM opportunities in Oklahoma City
Breakfast and lunch are provided so students can focus fully on discovery and learning.
