Hough Ear Institute’s Young Professionals Board (YPB) brings together emerging leaders who want to make a meaningful difference in Oklahoma City and beyond.

YPB members help introduce new people to Hough Ear Institute and the work happening here, from groundbreaking hearing research to programs helping Oklahomans access hearing care today.

Along the way, they build relationships with other young professionals who care about their community, want to grow as leaders, and are ready to do some good together.

We believe your best contribution is often the thing you already do well.YPB members make a personally meaningful donation to Hough Ear Institute and then bring their ideas, talents, connections, and creativity to the table.Maybe you’re great at bringing people together. Maybe you know everyone in Oklahoma City. Maybe you’re a marketer, banker, attorney, designer, fundraiser, scientist, storyteller, spreadsheet wizard, or the person who always has the idea nobody else thought of.That’s what we want.We’re building a group of people with different skills, industries, networks, and perspectives who want to use a little of what they’re good at to help move an important mission forward.

How You Can Get Involved

Hough has two big opportunities each year when we especially love having our Young Professionals Board involved.

STEAM Camp
Each summer, Hough Ear Institute introduces young people to the science of hearing through our hands-on STEAM Camp. YPB members can volunteer, help us find sponsors, make connections, or simply jump in where they’re needed.

Annual Awards Celebration
At the end of the year, our Annual Awards Celebration brings together friends, supporters, community leaders, and partners to celebrate the people and progress moving our mission forward.YPB members can get involved through volunteering, sponsorships, connections, and helping us make it an incredible night.

Have a Better Idea? We’re All Ears.

Those are our two big events. They don’t have to be the only ones.If you’ve got an idea for a happy hour, fundraiser, community event, corporate challenge, volunteer project, collaboration, or something we’ve never tried before, we want to hear it.

The Young Professionals Board isn’t here just to carry out our ideas.
